About this journal

All bullion coins are minted at West Point, NY.  The S mint mark is a scam to make people think they are getting something special, at double, or triple the going price of a real Silver Eagle. In effect, the "S" coin is a phony, and doesn't have a place in the Registry. "Minted at" coins fall into the same category. The label can say anything they want.....even the Sheboygan Mint!

NGC removed the other coins, this one has to go also.

I too laid out hundreds of dollars only to have them erased, such  as the "2000 Millennium" ASE. Another gem that we "had" to have.  They won't pay   those coins we now have to eat.

Here's what I get for impulse shopping. Hello again everyone. I just got carried away and bought a coin that caught my eye. It's a Canadian Snowflake? I dunno......my French is lousy too. It's a $20 silver proof with 7 Swarovski crystals. One clear in the center of the reverse, and 6 amethyst crystals in the snowflake. It is supposedly .9999 silver? Mintage is 7500. A picture is worth.........?

Just because you own the coin doesnt mean....... Hi everyone, I recently discovered something new. NGC certification verification has images. Nice images of the coin you are checking. NGC now images every coin that is certified and processed. That has wonderful meaning to those that require adequate proof beyond a reasonable doubt. This is amazing off-site data storage. My trial set has been graded.

The results are in! Hello everyone! The trial is over. The 8 Sacagawea PF 70 coins I sent to PCGS for crossover are done! You all had your ideas and preferences. My $1,500.00 set is now a little less than $500. I will also lose a #1 Registry set this year. I hope everyone that gripes about the two grading companies, now has a different perspective.   Now you know why PCGS is more expensive than NGC. They have fewer 70s. Not a PF 70 in 8 submissions! Economic Depression?

That's exactly what it is! Hello all! It is on a somber note I address the Society. The economy has struck the heart and sole of our collecting society. Being a new(and little guy), I can do a lot of the newer coins in lesser grades. I can get results and complete sets quicker and cheaper than those seeking perfection. NGC TURN AROUND TIMES

In by 9 out by 5? Hello all! I just got the shipping notice from NGC on my last submission. Turn around times are phenomenal. My 1959 proof set did well. A 1986 Statue of Liberty half, made PF 70 UC. I paid 6 bucks for it raw! Both Abes took a 70. I will have them before a reputable dealer gets mine back to me since 2-12. So much for presales. I also got straight PF 69s on the Prezzies. BRAILLES.......50/50

My pair is finalized today.......good and bad! Hi all! I just got the results for my pair of Braille Commemoratives. MS69 and PF 69 Ultra Cameo. Not bad considering I thought the proof was a 70 and the uncirculated a 68. The census says there are more 70s than 69s, but i just added to the lower numbers. I put them into my set for now. I can wait until the 70s come down to $60, and grab the pair to upgrade. Everything else I sent was MS65. I hope my world coins do better. I alread

2009 TERRITORIAL QUARTER SET

PENNY ON A FENCEPOST

Third time is always a charm! Hi everyone! Well, I totally vented this morning. My PF 63, 1960 LD, Lincoln, 1C is gone!!! I admired that coin so much, I put it out of my misery on the third shot. Imaging for beginners.

2009 Commemorative Braille Issues

Another plea to NGC?

I'd like the 10th slot please! Hello all.....again! Todd has a point. I asked for some recognition with my set/s also. Let's see. There is an ASE in 2008 graded as a MS70. I've gone completely Loony!

I cannot believe any of this! Hello to all! I cannot believe a act of kindness or generousity is so poorly taken. I see some members cannot read, and the others didn't comprehend what they read. I am not selling coins using the Society as a vehicle. I donated a few coins for a cash donation. I stood up and offered all I could. Another member stands up and commits. Members helping members. In Retrospect

A few here.....a few there! Hello everyone! Not an overwhelming week by any means. I did get MS 66 on the new HABS Canadians. I also sent two proofs to PCGS, and seven went to NGC. I have a $50 Cook Island coin I'd like to send in. It looks perfect to me on both sides. I think the graders are either lacking something on world coins, or there's a prejudice concerning superior quality. A 70 is almost non-existent. Anyway, I take what they give me. MOVIN' ON UP

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble. Well, I went and did it. I started a set of Presidential Dollars in PF 70. I am proud to have another #1 ranked set. After trying to get some nice photos of the obverse, I opted to leave the reverse scans for now. I am going build a photo booth (miniature) for at least the obverse. I'll see soon if it works. I have a good set to work with. It'll need to be good enough to present it properly. I want to at least get an "Honorable Mention" by someone.

CLARIFICATION

ADVICE ON CROSSING OVER?

Oh please send mine in? Hello everyone! I read the previous journal, and almost fell off my chair. Anyone that sends in a set of PF70s and they cross to PF 70s, please send a set of my Sacs to PCGS.
