NGC vs PCGS
Since I like to collect pedigree coins, I have to collect both NGC and PCGS. I perfer NGC and do not understand why PCGS won't allow NGC in their registry!
From the Cheerios Promotion
..In the year 2000, if my wife found a coin in her Cheerios, I know for a fact we would have put it in a Piggy bank or spent it!
Fast forward to 2006 or 2007 having read about the Cheerios Promotion we will treat any coin we find now more carefully.
..I was looking at my favorite coin shop (EBay) when I came across this Cheerios Penny. Thinking about it, I said what the heck, it's only money and put in a bid. I won the bid.
..When I received the coin I spent t
I've been reading
The Official RED BOOK
A Guide Book of MORGAM SILVER DOLLARS
A Complete History and Price Guide 3rd EDITION
written by Q. David Bowers
I wasn't even aware of Morgan or Peace Dollars until 1961. When the Air Force sent me to Montana. Most of us young airmen didn't
care for them. When we received change it was in Silver Dollars. They were bulky and banged against our legs! We didn't look at dates or mint marks.
Now I wish i had been more aware!

CAN'T RESIST
When this walker came up, I had to have it. Paid less than FMV!

I tried for higher grade, but they want more money than I have!

While reading varies articiles I came across these two books.
1. A Guide Book of FRANKLIN & KENNEDY HALF DOLLARS Autographed Limited Edition #196 of 2,000. by Rick Tomaska. BOWERS SERIES.
2. JOHN WAYNE'S WILD WEST An Illustrated History of Cowboys, Gunfighters, Weapons, and Equipment by Bruce Wexler. 2010
While reading my Coin World I came across an add for a new book by Rick Tomaska. So, went it came out I purchased one! It has been very enjoyable and educational about Franklin &
Britannia!
..This is a new series of coins for me. Being one oz of silver, I think you can compare it with the American Silver Eagles! Looking at some other dates, the obverse and reverse hasn't remained the same each year. I like that!
For my Best in World Set.
THANK YOU NGC!!I'm very pleased to have received my award today from NGC! Like Kerry I've been sick and on antibotics, but my Beautiful wife was home and picked my award from the mailbox. This AWARD is very high quality and I would be happy to display it any where!I've also upgraded one of my other Canada sets.To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. Panda Gold.
..I purchased this coin for a price I felt was good. But, I can't see a Registry set to place it in. I'm getting old, maybe I just can't see something. There are a lot smarter members than me and I would like your advise.
Have A Great Weekend
I've been reading my COIN WORLD this past week!
Then it hit me! The Collection Manager reads "You'll now be able to organize your entire collection, monitor purchases and sales, establish goals and more".
In other works forget the "Old Registry" and start learning the "NEW ONE".
I still don't understand the "NEW" but I'll learn!
Here's my newest purchase!

I wish NGC would just update the hundred of sets they have now before creating new ones!
I've been asking for months for NGC to update sets. They haven't update the hundred of set for 2010 yet! Here it is FEBRUARY 2011 and they are creating new sets without finishing the old sets!
It must be a case of WHO you Know?

Excellent Selections NGC!
I'm greatful to be included in this group of 2010 Awards! To be in the a group that includes JACKSON and KERRY is an honor. All the winners deserve their awards! To those who didn't didn't make it, just keep trying to make your sets the best you can, it just take time.
Thanks again to The Collectors Society and all its' members.

How Many PARKS ARE THERE?
Will each State only have One? or will they have a different quarter for each park? Here in UTAH we have three parks!

They do an Excellent job!
I submitted 10 coins from Canada most 1987. One 1987 received a PF-70 UC 10 Cent! The rest of the 1987s received PF-69 UC. The 10 is hard to get!

This pass summer we celebrated Elvis's 75th Birthday.
This $2 bill is one of the items that I purchased!
I know some people think it is wrong to color dollar bills! But it has been done, and they will have to live with it.
Also, some think it is a waste of money! I'm a COLLECTOR and follow one rule: Collect only what you like! Elvis is someone I like and have a small collection of. I didn't purchase it thinking of a profit or loss. Just some I found appealing.

Walker are still one of the Coins I dearly like and will continue to Collection. Some of the dates are not very affordable in certain grades, like MS-67, I've tried to upgrade but it is slow. I'm still not used to hundreds of dollars for one coin let a lone Thousands!
This is my lastest a 1917!

For all that you do!
..I received this past week a BIG box from NGC, it was my certificates for BEST SETS. You make this Hobby FUN!
..Today I received this little lady back from the grading at NGC, it's nice to have someone see the same perfection as you do!
I agree with Kerry its time to cut back on buying coins!
During the time I was sick and before, I was buying raw coins. BUT didn't have the engery to submit them for grading! Now I've been submitting them and saving for for more important things!
Like WINE(oh I forgot we don't drink wine, it will have to be coca cola), WOMEN (My Wife she is having a birthday this month and next month we will be married 47 years! So she deserves to be treated nice), SONG ( I can't carry a tune in a bucket. B
A beautiful coin!
..When I received the Welsh Dragon, I was surprised at how small it was. One pound looked bigger, but I've like this series. After all it is from England and that's where my family came from, so I now have coins from the mother country.
..NOTE TO: S & D Collection. I tried to answer your message, but you have blocked us from contacting you!
Have A Great Day
about THE NEW COLLECTORS SOCIETY!
First of all I'm not impressed or Happy!
The first thing I like to do, was check the Registry and see who was doing what. I could see if I wanted to contact someone!
When I would add some coins, I would be at or near the top. Today I added 4 coins and they are somewhere on page 2? I don't know what I'm doing wrong but that's my first complaint!

Newest addition!
..Hey mates this is my newest addition to my VAM collection. With the wild market talking place in the Silver Eagles, I felt now was time to talk another look at Morgans.
..I would like to thank King of Eagles for his excellent advise!
..To the folks at NGC, especially Amy Lorenzo and Lisa Berzins, thanks for making this hobby so fun!
..This might be my last post for awhile. It looks like I will be having heart surgey next week. If our good Lord still has work for me to
They get into your blood.
I can't believe that I've had this Eagle since Mar 2004, and haven't added it to my sets until now. I'm going thru my inventory and sure I'll find more.
How about that Jackson, his High Seas Signature set is amazing! He just keeps showing us how much he enjoys collecting.
A flawless coin, can't see how it could get any better!
This is my second Bluenose coin, it is highly sought after in Canada. I think it might rival the 1995 W Proof American Silver Eagle in value in time!

Started to seriously work on my coin collections in January 2004. Have been building a base and haven't focused on any one series yet. Leaning towards Morgan dollars and Walking Liberty half dollars.
