NGC-certified British Gold Rarity Highlights Sale in France

World coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) are featured in CGB’s upcoming sale in France on December 8, 2020. Online bidding is now open.

The most anticipated coin of the sale is a Great Britain 1741 5 Guineas graded NGC UNC Details, with an estimate of € 55,000 (about $65,700 USD). Its obverse features the laureate head of George II, King of Great Britain and Ireland from 1727 to 1760. An impressive crowned shield is depicted on the reverse of what was the largest gold coin that Great Britain produced at the time.
