NGC Ancients featured on Pawn Stars

NGC Ancients recently authenticated an ancient Byzantine gold coin that had been purchased by the History Channel's Pawn Stars TV show.

Director of NGC Ancients, David L. Vagi, was recently featured on the popular History Channel show Pawn Stars. In an episode titled “Cold Hard Cash” which aired Thursday, November 14th, Dave identified an ancient gold coin of the Byzantine emperor Constantine IX (A.D. 1042-1055) for the Las Vegas landmark pawn shop Owner / Manager Rick. Though excited to learn that the coin was authentic, Rick was disappointed to find out that he’d paid a touch more than the coin was worth in the current market.
