Improper storage left its evidence on the surface of this Mexican Revolution piece. Residues had formed on the surface of the coin being most apparent as a dark residue on the high points of the design. The conservators were able to remove much of this residue brightening the surfaces of this unusual copper coin significantly. The coin was able to grade numerically with NGC following the conservation work.
