Rare Gold Pattern Farthing Certified by NGC Leads Baldwin's Sale

Dozens of British and other world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) are being offered in a Baldwin’s sale. Online bidding for Auction 109 is already underway, with live bidding set to start on March 9, 2023.
Auction 109 features several British coins and medals from the 1600s and early 1700s. Among the NGC-certified highlights is a Great Britain 1713 Gold Pattern Farthing graded NGC AU 55 (lot 202). The coin’s obverse features a bust of Queen Anne, who ruled Great Britain from 1701 to 1714. Gold Farthings from Queen Anne’s reign are extremely rare, and this one has an estimate of £150,000 (about $181,000).

- an England (1660-62) Unite graded NGC MS 61 (lot 185) with an estimate of £25,000 (about $30,100)
- a Great Britain 1847 Pure Silver Gothic Crown graded NGC PF 62 Cameo (lot 282) with an estimate of £25,000 (about $30,100)
- an England (1601) Crown graded NGC AU 58 (lot 162) with an estimate of £14,000 (about $16,900)
- an England 1658/7 Cromwell Crown graded NGC MS 62 (lot 183) with an estimate of £10,000 (about $12,000)
- an England 1660 Silver Pattern Broad graded NGC MS 62 (lot 189) with an estimate of £7,000 (about $8,400)
