Description and Analysis
1936 S 10C MS
Description & Analysis
1936-S dimes were saved in quantity at their time of issue and were available in roll quantity right up until the advent of certified grading in the 1980s led to these rolls being broken for the best examples.
This issue typically has excellent luster that may even be semi-prooflike as a result of vigorous die polishing. If this was done in a careful manner, the result was a run of attractive coins. If done carelessly, the coins would display numerous, erratic lines and random brilliant patches. The latter are most often seen just to the left and right of Liberty's portrait.
