Description & Analysis
San Francisco did not coin any dimes of the old standard, and all 1873 S dimes thus carry the opposed arrowheads. This modest mintage resulted in a moderately scarce coin across all grades.
Two die pairs were employed, one having the Small, Thin S and the other featuring the Small, Block S (the scarcer of the two).
