Description & Analysis

The 1918-S Walking Liberty half dollar has a healthy mintage of some 10.2 million pieces. However, clearly it was not saved in many numbers as it is very scarce today. Even rarer is a full gem example with a good strike, as evidenced by the low NGC census pops, which show only 40 coins in gem or higher. (8/2016)
