Description & Analysis

The 1928-P Peace dollar is a well-known Peace dollar rarity. In fact, it has the lowest mintage of any coin in the entire series at some 360,649 pieces. Even when circulated, this date brings in a significant premium to bullion value. Unfortunately quality was a problem with this issue, and many are weakly struck with mediocre luster. This issue is extremely difficult to find in MS65 and above.
