Description & Analysis

Although the 1928-S Peace dollar has a mintage nearly 5 times as large as it's Philadelphia counterpart, the 1928 is much rarer in higher grade. In fact, this issue is often seen with such weak strikes that grades of MS65 and above are almost three times rarer than the Philly issue.
