Description & Analysis

The Mint only struck some 4,130 proof Mercury dimes in 1936, which was also the first year of production for proof coins since 1915. As with most proof Mercury dimes, they are nearly impossible to find with full cameo contrast. In fact, NGC has not graded any 1936 Mercury proof with the cameo designation.
