Description & Analysis

The 1915 was the second-to-last Indian Head half eagle struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It is also considered to be the last of the "common-date" Indian half eagles. However, it circulated extensively, making high grade uncirculated pieces very difficult to locate. In fact, NGC has only graded 39 in gem, with none higher! (8/2016)
