Description & Analysis

The 1911-D is the second lowest issue in the Indian half eagle series. With a mintage of a mere 72,500 pieces, this coin is rare in all grades. However, it seems most made it into circulation, which makes high-grade examples even more difficult to locate. In fact, gem examples can easily break the six-figure mark.
