Description & Analysis

First struck in 1986, the Gold Eagle coin program is one of the world's most popular gold coin programs. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively.

In 1991, the mintage of $10 gold eagles was only 21,100 pieces. This is the lowest mintage of any bullion 1/2oz gold eagle. Even with the low mintage, quality was still around 2%. (6/2016)
