Description & Analysis

This issue had a relatively low mintage for a Philadelphia quarter dollar. While well worn pieces are as common as most of the later entries in the series, problem-free coins grading Fine through About Uncirculated are a bit scarce. Mint State survivors are fairly plentiful, and gems are available to the advanced collector.

As with 1909 and subsequent years through the end of this series, the date was applied at the master die stage. This has precluded any varieties affecting that design feature.
