Description & Analysis

The San Francisco Mint struck just over a million Barber quarters in 1903. This is a pretty low mintage, especially considering the nearly ten million that were struck in Philadelphia that year. Most of this issue was circulated and few were saved in high grade, which is evidenced by the low populations in the NGC census, especially in gem and above.
