The image will first need to be uploaded somewhere, either here as an attachment or on another server. In this case, the image was uploaded as:

Once the image is uploaded, you need to find that URL which you can do by clicking on 'attachment' and then viewing the properties for the image (right click in Firefox) or viewing the image by itself (also right click in Firefox). Then use BBCode in your post to insert the image. The BBcode looks like the following (without the spaces after the [ bracket):

 

[ image]http://boards.collectors-society.com/attachments/1657956-a.jpg[ /image]

 

You can type BBCode directly or use the JavaScript in the 'Edit' and 'Reply' editors. If you click Edit or Reply, you'll get a more fully featured editor. In this editor, you can click on the link "Image" under "Instant UBB Code" which will give you a JavaScript popup box to cut and paste the link into.
