Congrats on a nice pickup, at a great price. There are four graded SP68 from the same dealer submission...You may not have lost out! I purchased this one Jan 4th from France. Scott A 89 posts Report post Posted February 18, 2017 My most recent acquisition is a Mexican 1800 1 Real in NGC MS63. Pretty coin that will join mt 1800 1/2 Real. I think I will try to put together a mint state 1800 silver set. 2 Abuelo's Collection and kidrootbeer reacted to this

World_Coin_Nut 128 posts Report post Posted March 2, 2017 This isn't really a recent acquisition but with it being easier to share pictures I figured I would do so with this one. One of my favorite Wildman coins. Exquisitely well struck. 3 Yarm, Scott A and toyonakataro reacted to this
richarma 10 posts Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Here is my most recent purchase. It is a MS 62 - 1806A France 2 Francs that I picked up for my Napoleon Type Set. It has an incredible surface which the pictures just don't do it justice. The observe picture does a slightly better job of showing the different colors that dance across the surface depending on the way the light is hitting it. Thanks for looking. 3 Abuelo's Collection, toyonakataro and World_Coin_Nut reacted to this
Scott A 89 posts Report post Posted March 21, 2017 This is not a new coin to me, but I did have it regraded from an ICG (PF68DCAM) holder to an NGC holder (PF66), which I do believe it the proper grade. The coin is an extremely rare Belgian Congo/Democratic Republic of Congo 1965 silver 100 Francs piece, which is far rarer than it's gold counterparts. In nearly 20 years this is the only example that I have found, and I am always on the hunt. If you ever find another one or one of the other denominations in silver, please let me know. 1 World_Coin_Nut reacted to this

MARIANO J. HOFFPAUIR 4 posts Report post Posted May 2, 2017 Greetings one and all, Here is an American Numismatic Association 100th Anniversary "Salute to the ANA" 1891-1991 .999 Fine Silver Medal from the British Royal Mint. I believe this is one of their finest coins. The both proud American Eagle and the British Lion make the coin look very majestic. JMHO.

Mike.Schmidt 1 post Report post Posted June 20, 2017 After many years of hunting down this coin I was finally successful. It came back from NGC as AU55. It's a German/Brunswick mining Thaler from 1685. It weighs 78g and is stamped on the reverse as a "3" Thaler coin. 4 1 World_Coin_Nut, EleMint Man, Ryan S. and 2 others reacted to this

Star City Homer 342 posts Report post Posted August 18, 2017 A few posts above I showed a Japanese coin I bought from a European auction house. This is a European coin (Albania) from a Japanese auction that arrived recently. Life is weird in world coin collecting. It's actually the second 'difficult' Albanian coin I've found in Japan, which makes me wonder about a Japanese collector of Albanian coins.
