Is this thing dead yet?

 

Philadelphia mint foreign gold, except the 1897. Only planchets were made that year.

That E in UNITED just had to be different, didn't it. Kind of reminds me of the white iris among the blue.

Here is an old Anacs photo certificate graded PR-60. I'm guessing that it's more like PF-63 by todays standards. It has some nice reds and blues that I can't capture with my poor photo. skills. I won in on ebay for 80 bucks, and the auction made no mention of the certificate, so it was a nice suprise when it arrived in the mail.
