Old gold in an old rattler holder.

I saw that on eBay....how does it look in hand? Their photo is awful...way too much of a red shift in the shot.

Looks nice though....

I had it on my watch list for almost 3 months.

IMO it looks great in hand. More yellow-gold than the image. A surprising amount luster in the recesses for a 45, especially on the reverse. A few of the stars are weak but other than that, a great strike and minimal abrasions. As a bonus its a the scarcer tall 5 variety. And it does indeed rattle in the holder...

I've always liked the "orangish" color on those so inquired about that coin some time ago. They wouldn't upgrade the photo so I just kind of passed on it.

It's a great coin with a lot of luster though...nice one!

I just picked up a nice looking 1921 SLQ { my Mom's Birth Year }

and I think I did pretty good on it...its a PC 58 - not a FH - but decent.

Sellers' images - better ones to come:

Thanks for the Kudos guys !

I thought it was a pretty decent AU 58.

As soon as I get it, it goes to CAC.

My Dad was born in 1917 and when I sold

my last set of SLQ's, I neglected to pull the

coins from the years 1917 & 1921. { My Bad... :makepoint: }

So... to make it up and to keep things even Stephen ...

here's a decent 1917-D Ty 1 that I just found on eBay...

Years ago... for my Dad's 75th birthday - I gave him a raw 1917 Mint Set

which included a Ty 1 - SLQ - from Phila. I recently had it graded and

it came back in a non FH - AU 58 holder. No images yet.

That is one beautiful SLQ . I love the eye appeal of that beauty.

1921 is also my mothers birth year and a tough year for coins to say the least.

Here's my claim the my mothers birth year. I have just received an offer of 5k for this Buff. NOT for sale.
