Two coin errors(?)

Hello,

May I ask...A 1929 Belgian Congo 50 cent...a possible 8 or 6 under the 9?   To myself it looks like the upper tail of a 6 barely sticking out.  Also, 1957 Spain 50 psetas (59).  The edge lettering is supposed to read UNA *I* GRANDE *I* LIBRE *I*.  However, only two of the I's are in between the stars.  This edge reads UNA **I GRANDE *I* LIBRE *I*.

Would this constitute as new variety errors, if such they may be, especially with the latter?     Thank you for any replies.
