The 95th Bday coin for the queen is interesting. Between those and the QB Series, I'm not sure if they really love the old girl, the Royal Mint just wants to cash in, or they're just really shocked she's made it this far.

I now have Two British Royal Mint Coins, the 2021 Britannia 2 Pound coin and the 2021 Five pound coin. Probably all the new ones I'll get. Until a new king is Coronated.

An 1893 Columbian Exposition, Chicago Half Dollar]

There is a repunched date variety for this and the 3 looks interesting to me but can't say for sure without better pics.

I’ll get it under the scope today. I did find an 1892 variety which is actually the 400th anniversary of Columbus

Get the First U.S. Commemorative Half

The first U.S. commemorative half dollar was minted for the Chicago Columbian Exposition in 1893, the huge World's Fair held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the voyage of Columbus to America. The coin features the explorer on the reverse and one of his ships on the obverse. Only 1.5 million were made. Most were heavily circulated and later melted. We found a small cache, and you can now add this first-ever U.S. commemorative half dollar to your collection.

The Columbian exposition was supposed to open in the summer of 1892. Construction delays caused the fair to be postponed until 1893. The original 1892 dated coin was supposed to go on sale at the expo that same year. When the expo got delayed it was decided to also do an 1893 dated version.

Here is the microscope pictures. Do you see an RPM on the three as Fentucky Mike indicated?

Hmmm, I'd say no based on those pics but if you can get a clear pic of the top of the three it might be worth a third look.

Or better yet take a look for yourself with the coin in hand, that would be the best. Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) | VarietyPlus® | NGC (ngccoin.com)
