Can anyone help me on this coin?

I have a 1978D Penny with an overdate stamp. Looks like an 8 and a 9 we’re stamped over each other. Can anyone tell me if this is something of any value or not? I’m obviously new to this, so I had to ask.
Also, is anyone interested in a 1617 Silver Ingot recovered from the Atocha by Mel Fisher. It is mounted in a necklace. I have the COA with serial number and photos are attached.
I appreciate your feedback, time, and consideration.

Thank You,

Jan

That is not an 8 over 9 only damage, the 8 took a hit and displaced the lower half making it kind of look like the tail of a 9 was there.
