Total estimated survival 10.  (90 were reported as melted)

 

That wildebeest sure looks a whole lot more interesting (formidable) than those French Roosters 🐓 but the very thought of melting either, particularly this Skanderbeg, is/was nothing less than skandalous!

a J-244 50C Pattern (Struck in Copper) considered High R.7 (3- 7 Pieces) but this example may be unique (Qty1)

Reverse appeared to have been struck from a planchet which had an incused head of Washington on it."  making this most likely a restrike in later a later year than 1859

Here’s a 2005 South African MS R1 with a mintage of 256.
Nearly 6000 points on the registry too. 
I have proofs with lower mintages but this one is low for a MS coin. There are lower mintage years in this series for those that likes a challenge.
