Help Identify a coin

First Post. I have dug out my old coins from when  I was a young avid collector 40 years ago and going through some coins came across this 1652 - 1952 South Africa 5s, strange thing is the other side is in English?? Any help would be great.

That's a 1952 Union of South Africa 5-shilling coin. It's 50% Ag, so I'd think about hanging onto it. Not a high premium in that condition, but interesting. When the Union became the Republic (1961 maybe) they went to coinage that no longer bore the monarch's portrait, and established the rand as the RSA's currency.

And there are other languages to be found on the South African coins depending on the denomination,  South Aftrica has seven official languages and they used a different one on each denomination.
