There likely was less in the past ten or so years due to the low prices, I would expect that a spike can be seen due to the recent rise in prices.  But I have no way of knowing for sure on either account.

Long ago Treasury published annual quantities of "recovered silver," but private companies likely published nothing.

I am told by a major wholesaler in Pennsylvania that very little actual coin melting goes on when compared with the coins sold “at melt”. Bagging is the larger fate.
