1921 S half dollar grade?

I’m newish so others will be more accurate. But to take a stab at testing what I’m learning, I would say this is roughly a Fine (12). BUT there appears to be damage (the chunk missing out of the leg). So that detracts.

I am thinking it would certify at least as F-12 to F-15.  Normally, it's value would not be enough to really justify certification, but these are so doggone tough to grade that, for educational purposes, you might consider sending it in to NGC.

With damage to the leg, it might not be certifiable. Why not ask a dealer who has submission privileges for his/her opinion....Unless one wants to risk $25+.....
