Hello, what is “FS-501” and “FS-801” and some of the other non-typical types listed in the registry set?  Thanks for any info, trying to learn and understand!

FS numbers are numbers assigned by Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton in the "Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties," and denote doubled die varieties, repunched mintmarks, etc.

Just to expand on the info that @Just Bob provided.  If you want to do a registry set but are not interested in finding/buying the varieties then look through the registry sets for one that does not include them.  Most of the popular series have both with and without varieties in the registry for most if not all the different year combinations.
