Those experimental rinses that Mike Byers show are blank planchets, how come yours has Eisenhower on it?

The planchet annotations seem to refer to specifications for the upsetting machine, not a rinse of some sort. Equipment differences at each mint often required slight adjustments of planchet diameter, upset height, angle and edge.

The only purpose of a planchet rinse would be to add or remove oils form the surface, or to "whiten" the planchet so a struck coin is as bright as possible.

Ratzie33: You are conflating multiple pieces of information, resulting in a confused muddle.

It appears you feel you know all the answers before posting photos, so there is really no meaningful way to help. Most members will try to communicate, but you must be willing to listen to suggestions of much more experienced collectors. The consequence is that some are frustrated with your posts, and you are therefore receiving fewer responses.

If you want assistance, just ask.

Remember the Calvin and Hobbes window decals? I got your "special experimental rinse" right here.
