Inmatejr
Why are not all of the 1976 MS coins included in a 1976 BiCentennial Set? I only see the penny, nickel and dime, but have the quarter and 50 cent piece that were included in the set.

The 1976 Bicentennial Silver set was sold with only three coins as shown here: https://www.apmex.com/product/1244/1976-s-bicentennial-silver-uncirculated-set?utm_medium=adwords&utm_campaign=&utm_source=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI--CGnpCP7AIVi4taBR3QXgfPEAAYASAAEgJVLfD_BwE. As such the Silver coins are eligible in this NGC Registry set: 1776-1976 Silver Mint Set. The 1976 Clad set was 6 coins as shown here which are eligible in the NGC Registry in the "1976 Mint Set:" https://www.littletoncoin.com/shop/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=29555&productId=37144&referralCode=WRB&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1vrl9JCP7AIVTeDICh2f3g1NEAQYCCABEgKpu_D_BwE. The "1776-1976 Clad Mint Set" in the NGC Registry is specifically for coins minted with "1776-1976" on the coin. Please let us know if you have other questions. Edited September 29, 2020 by Ali E. Inmatejr
Ok, so you see there 6 coins from Philly and 6 coins from Denver. All MS from 2 different mints. Total of 12 coins for the Mint State set. The Registry will only take the small coins for a total of 6 coins, which is half of the mint state sets from Philadelphia and Denver. Why are the quarters, half’s and dollars not included in the Mint Sets ?

We have combined the two existing NGC Registry sets for 1976 to include Mint Set coinage from Denver and Mint Set coinage from Philadelphia, so they are more in keeping with the other years' Mint Sets. The Bicentennial coinage was separate from the other coinage. All are combined now. Thank you.
