While I haven't delved into medals - this one caught my eye. I do like Russian coinage. Along with Polish and a few others in that neck of the woods.
RUSSIAN EMPIRE AND FEDERATION. Catherine II. the Great, 1729-1796.  
Gold medal no date (1768). Award medal "Recompense for Labour" of Liberal Economy Society. Unsigned. Crowned and mantled bust of Catherine II to right. Rev. Sitting under a palm Goddess of harvest Ceres holds caduceus and a wreath. 39.3 mm. 33.20 g. Diakov 142.8 (R2) var. Extremely rare.
