Welcome to the Forum.

Always show both sides of the coin when posting and by  cropping it will make them larger.

What you have is just damage of some sort. There is no way that could happen during the striking of the coin.

appreciate it, i had tried to post both sides but for some reason my phone wouldn't let me, but i will post the other side now

Now that we can see both sides it is obvious what happened. Something has punched the Obverse pushing the metal out on the Reverse.
