I've been searching all over the internet trying to find information out about a 1955-S wheat cent error coin. Its not the normal double die variety. on the reverse of the coin where it reads Untied States of America the first "S" in states is missing.   the coin itself in in relatively good shape and it does not appear to be just rubbed off. all the other lettering is strong.  curious as to know if it would be worth getting the coin graded.

That cavity in the die became partially filled with grease or metal filings. This is not unusual on coins, and it's not considered a variety or significant mint error.
