I found  this penny this morning  looked outward  ....

I can't tell what the date is it weights 3.0 grams is this a rare mint error or pmd please help me identify

Not only is it damage, it appears to be intentional damage, a double whammy.

Yes just damage and it dates between 1959 and 1982 (has a wide AM and the weight indicates it is a 95% copper cent.)  I don't know enough about hub changes to narrow it down further, but I would suspect it is after 1969.
