Guidmeister Posted May 18, 2020 Share Posted May 18, 2020 Hello, I just purchased an Apollo 11 50th anniversary proof silver dollar (PF70 ULTRA CAMEO), and when I received it, was surprised to learn it came in an "extra thick" slab! I guess I had never seen one before, and expect it has to do with the "relief" of the coin's curved nature. Is NGC putting ALL similar coins into an "extra thick" slab?? Unfortunately it won't fit into the slots of an NGC storage box!! The cert # of my coin is 4953771-072. Can you please check your records and confirm the slab size?
