Hi,

I found this 1930 wheat penny that looks Very different from any other penny I have seen.
I wanted to make sure it wasn’t struck like this.
Any ideas what could’ve caused this penny to look like this?

Interesting. An error expert will have to reply. I see misaligned dies but whether that caused the weird strike, or if it's just extreme wear, can't say. What does it look like from the edge, on the obverse left? Edit - second look - it appears marginally oblong too. Is it? Optical illusion? Put it next to a normal cent and see.

Thanks for your reply. I just took a picture of it like you said and just realized it’s a little smaller than a normal wheat penny. It also has an interesting wave in the center that is hard to take a picture of.
