1869 Spain 5 Pesetas KM# 655 fake? 0

  I am pretty sure this is fake, It is struck slightly off center. The edge lettering is also off center. However there are pretty clear numbers in the stars, It says 18 in one and 69 in the other. Would a fake have that? Any opinions? Thanks

Without seeing both full sides, and without a weight, we are missing too many of the easily provided data.

Weight is just slightly too heavy for the 25g standard weight of that issue. A well-worn example would likely be down about 5% in weight, not over the mintage weight.

Also, since the mintage listed for the real thing is 100 and authentic examples in this condition probably get four figures, it seems an issue highly vulnerable to counterfeiting endeavors.
