The Ledford Collection Posted January 18, 2020 Share Posted January 18, 2020 I have a question on 1 of 2 of my 2016 W 24K Gold Walking Liberty Centennial coins that were purchased from the mint. I have a spot on the obverse that I was wanting some advice on if I should have it graded or not due to the surface condition. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Coinbuf Posted January 19, 2020 Share Posted January 19, 2020 Looks like a copper spot, I'm not up on the composition of these so I'm not sure if there is any copper in it or if anything can be done about it. My main worry is that it could damage the coin however, as long as the bullion value is not affected I guess it would be foolish to add more expense to the coin. Your time has been much appreciated!
