There is a typo in this article.

Quote " The most commonly seen counterfeit 1856 Flying Eagle Cents are actually altered date 1856 Flying Eagle Cents. "

The legend "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is also referred to as a "motto."

Some of these were free so I expect the unexpected one I think is silver it's the pretty third one. Are any of these altered because obviously their were no silver ones for real but it does weight 3.75 grams so I think it's silver. All in fun I don't want to lose regardless of authenticity.
