The token is copper-nickel, and is made by, interestingly, a German company,  Bayerisches Münzkontor Göde

(At least, I think it is German. I don't speak German, but the language of the website looks like it, to me)

Edit: After some further searching, I confirmed that it is German.

 

And, the dime got caught between the inner and outer drums of a dryer.
