Just wanted opinions on the quarter I acquired this past weekend.

Its a 1976 Washington Quarter seeming to be on a bronze brown colored planchet. Haven't seen anything comparable to it...  Please advise... Any details? Value?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Clear pics of both sides are essential. Weight would also be very helpful. Without those, we literally won't know what we're talking about.

I think it was dipped in a corrosive. Original weight is supposed to be 5.67g and this one doesn't appear to have deep wear, which otherwise would be a valid culprit for dropping the weight that way. The pitting makes me think of an acid "cleaner."

Certainly just damage. Not an error coin. The pitting speaks to an acidic environment and likely a bunch of time spent in an acidic soil. Metal detectorists just roll this stuff up and take it to a bank, you know.
