Canadian 5 cent proof 0

I've done my in depth research,  and it states that ALL Canadian nickels in the proof sets are made of nickel. The one I have,  which is still in the protective package along with the other coins released in 1964, is made of steel.

 I found this out by accident when I was using a magnet to test other coins in my collection.

 Any information on what to do would be appreciated.

Nickel is magnetic.

Also that would be a PL Set. Proof sets were not introduced until 1981

Greenstang is quite correct about nickel. You would only need to dunk a big magnet in a tub of Canadian nickels from post-WWII to the early 1980s to verify this. Skeptical of my claim, my preferred coin dealer in Boise did just that and came up with a nickel-coated magnet.
