Can anyone help me out with this one please? I`m trying to determine if my 1935 Buffalo Nickel has a Double Die Reverse. Please take a look at the pics and your thoughts are very welcome.IMG_0298.thumb.JPG.cfbcc29b7b41a2890a31328b4492963b.JPG

Picture is a little out of focus but from what I can tell, there is no Doubling.

Can you take a clear closeup picture of the area you think is doubled. Sometimes the lighting can play tricks.

Thanks Greenstang, the red book mentioned it and the year was right but the examples given weren`t great. I appreciate you taking the time to review the pics and give me your take on them.

I don't have a Redbook handy at the moment, so I don't know which of the four known varieties it refers to, but our hosts variety Plus page has pictures of FS801 and FS803 right here: Link

(Scroll down to the 1935s)

And, Variety Vista has pictures of all four varieties on their page here: Click here

Those will give you a little more information, and and some practice straining your eyes, but I agree with Greenstang that what you have is a worn Buff.
