1989 d with 88 reverse

I know this might sound crazy, but I'm keeping a look out for the 1989 with 88 reverse. If they say they ran out of 88s and used 89s that's odd. Why would there be 88s on 89s.🤔 the closest I came to is this coin. What would be your thoughts. 🧐

Yes, that is a 1989, you can tell by the serif on the bottom of the G so that is a normal coin.

What you need to be looking for is a 1988D with a 1989 Reverse, that is the rare one. There are no 1989 with a 1988 Reverse.
