1973 d 1c bowed stairs

Not sure what you mean by "bowed".  If you mean the missing detail at the bottom cent of the steps, that is from a less than full strike.

Conder is correct. The bottom of the steps is opposite the deepest part of the obverse die, and the planchet couldn't quite fill both cavities.

Agreed.  The stairs are just weakly struck, which is a common occurrence on Lincoln Memorial cents.
