RobertPMcMahon 1 post Report post Posted February 24 I have a 1980D Roosevelt Dime that was mis-struck. The "We" in the bottom left corner is chopped nearly off. The band goes around the coin but you can see the bottom left quadrant of the coin was in error. The back of the coin seems ok. The detail on the coin is great it was just mis-struck. Is there any value to this? I posted a picture.
DWLange 2,175 posts Report post Posted February 24 The dies were slightly mis-aligned. While technically a mint error, it is not significant enough that NGC would certify it as such, and the coin carries no premium value. It's just a fun anomaly.
