Determining Designer?

7 posts in this topic

Hello, folks. First post here and wanted to say hello and ask a question.

Is there a good resource for determining which coin is which? For example, this website lists a 2015P dime as having two "Desig", which I am assuming means designer... not totally sure though. The difference in price between the two isn't trivial, and obviously, the difference for some coins is staggering. I don't see how to differentiate between the two. How do you do that?

Hoping to learn a lot here. I have a bucket of circulated coins worth about $500 face value that is going to take me a loooong time to go through.

Welcome to the forum.

John Sinnock was the sole designer of the Roosevelt dime, so I am not sure what "Desig" means in this case. Can you post a link to the coin in question?

Perhaps "Design" is referring to Designation. In that case, the coin could be MS or MSFT(Full Torch).
