1965 year of mint for jefferson nickel

Hello experts,

Is anyone aware that in 1965 they minted jefferson nickels with a 1964 date?

Public Law 88-580 giving the Mint the authority to retain the date 1964 on all coins manufactured after Jan 1st 1965.  Until adequate supplies of coins are available.

This is true. In fact, they continued minting all denominations with a 1964 date into 1965, and, for some, into early 1966.
