2018 Portland (Oregon) Coin Show October 20-21, 2018

The Willamette Coin Club has been putting this show on for many years. It will be held at the Doubletree, 1000 NE Multnomah (very near Lloyd Center), Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-4. Early bird hours and fee for Friday are in the link below. This is a pretty large show with numerous exhibits and many regular vendors of all things numismatic, exonumic, and so forth. Should be good stuff for YNs as well, as our club leadership is doing an excellent job helping to interest the next generation.

For those interested, our club meets on the third Thursday night of the month at the Portland Chess Club near Multnomah Village, 8205 SW 24th Ave, near Multnomah Village. Social hour and bourse from 7-8 PM, business and presentations from 8-9 PM. We used to have a raffle, and will soon again, when the legally imposed timeframe expires following our recent non-profit incorporation. (Oregon law forbids raffles as fundraisers during an organization's first year of non-profit status.) In addition to strong incentive programs for YNs, we have a wide variety of friendly and knowledgeable collectors who love to help with identification, grading, valuation, conservation, and so on.
